Former Patient at Triboro CenterI couldn’t stand or walk or put any amount of weight on legs. Regular daily activities were out of the question for me. Triboro Center got me going again—a very welcoming staff. Therapy was so much fun and at the same time useful. My family is very happy with my improvement. The rehab staff is the best, they are all very hard-working. I am able to climb stairs and walk on any surface with so much more confidence now. From not walking to walking without any support. I came a long way. Thank you to the entire Triboro Center team!
Cabral Flavia
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had open heart surgery at Montefiori Moses Hospital, and needless to say, I was very weak and had pain and swelling. It was extremely difficult for me to get around. An uncle of mine recommended Triboro Center for my rehab. The team there was very welcoming—even sweet. They assessed my condition and created a rehab program specifically for me. The therapists were excellent, and I got stronger and more confident every day. The Triboro Center team is very professional and filled with compassion. Thanks to Triboro Center—and to my uncle for the recommendation. It’s a great place!
Carlos Guichardo
Former Patient at Triboro CenterMy condition had gone from bad to worse. I was anemic—dizzy, tired and short of breath. My diabetes and high blood pressure contributed to my weakness. I couldn’t get out of bed—which led to a pressure ulcer on my hip. I need rehab, and I knew exactly where to go: Triboro Center. I’d been there before, and I knew from experience that they are excellent. The team didn’t disappoint. The therapists checked in with me every day, as did my nurse. The rehab program they designed for me worked wonders. When I came to Triboro Center, I couldn’t get out of bed. Two months later I’m home, walking and going up stairs on my own!
Catherine Thorpe
Former Patient at Triboro CenterWhen I left the hospital, I was very weak and unstable. My legs were so weak, I could barely stand up and I had taken several falls. The one good thing: I was discharged to Triboro Center. The therapy department was great. The staff treated me very well—they were very warm and helpful. They listened to me when I had a problem and immediately set out to solve it. I left Triboro Center in a little over two months. A big thank you to the entire team: They made me stronger and more confident.
Catherine White
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI suffered from a stroke on my right side. I could barely walk or use that side of my body and was a fall risk. My doctor said I also had hypertension. Coming to Triboro Center changed my life—I can now walk and climb stairs confidently. The rehab staff was so informative, nice, and positive. I want to especially thank Shivani and Jeanette for being very good therapists. I feel strong and confident after my stay. The entire Centers team helped me get better and improve my endurance. Thank you, Triboro Center!
Chan
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI was weak and my blood pressure was very high. I was a fall-risk and was susceptible to seizures. Once I arrived at Triboro Center, the staff made me feel welcome. My experience with therapy was excellent. The exercises and activities helped me feel better, too. I felt supported and my family appreciated the fact that I recovered fast. The rehab staff were all really good people and were highly professional, especially Mr. Matthew, Mr. Sanket, Mr. Krishna and Mr. Ryan, who all made contributions to my success. I would definitely refer this facility to my friends, well-wishers, and family members. I am stronger today because of the physical and moral support I received during my stay at Triboro Center.
Darah Mason
Former Patient at Triboro CenterMany people don’t understand how debilitating arthritis can be. I feel the pain in all my joints, and not long ago my right knee completely locked up. I couldn’t bend it. It was impossible for me to cook a meal, do my laundry—do simple activities that most take for granted. I spent some time in the hospital, but it was when I was discharged and transferred to Triboro Center that I began to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The rehab team checked in with me every day, and—this is amazing—they even made my exercises enjoyable! My greatest joy, however, came when I walked out of the facility on my own, to the cheers of the staff. I’m back home now, cooking my own meals and doing my own laundry. What a great team they have at Triboro Center!
Dorothy Robinson
Former Patient at Triboro CenterThe doctors told me I suffered cardiogenic shock, which meant that my heart couldn’t pump enough blood. The hospital saved my life, but even after being discharged, the pain in my limbs was terrible. I couldn’t even stand up. Thankfully, I was transferred to Triboro Center for my rehab. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, and the rehab team was wonderful. It was hard work, but every day I felt a little stronger—physically and emotionally. After six weeks I walked out of Triboro Center without assistance. A big thanks to the entire team. If you need rehab, Triboro Center is definitely the best choice!
Elise Maxwell
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI fell out of bed and broke my right arm. The pain was excruciating. St. Barnabas Hospital repaired the bone, but I was still in pain. I couldn’t dress myself and I was afraid to stand up on my own. I was worried that I’d lose my balance and take another fall. Thankfully, I was discharged to Triboro Center for my rehab. The medical staff and the therapists—the whole team—recognized that it wasn’t just about a broken bone. They treated the whole me, managing my pain and my fears. The pain is gone now as is my fear. The Triboro Center team built up my strength and my confidence. My goal was to get back to how I was before I took the fall. But they did more than that. Because I feel stronger and healthier than ever!
Hurtado Nery
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI have arthritis, which is hard enough, but my condition got much worse when I got cellulitis in my leg. The infection was so bad, the pain so intense, I couldn’t even get out of bed. Going to Triboro Center was truly life-changing for me. First, the medical team, led by a wound specialist, addressed my infection. They worked wonders. Speaking of working wonders, the physical and occupational therapists designed a rehab program for me and worked with me six days a week. The infection is under control. I can get out of bed—even go up stairs—on my own. I was at Triboro Center for seven weeks—seven weeks that made a world of difference for me!
Jeanann Velasquez
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI was in a very bad car accident. Several of the bones in my pelvic region were either broken or fractured. After surgery, I could barely walk or do anything on my own. I found the help I needed at Triboro Center for rehab. The therapy team was exceptional, especially Rachel and Shormin. They knew exactly what to do to make me independent again. Additionally, the activities, food, and accommodations were also phenomenal. After three and a half weeks at Triboro Center, I now can walk around without any assistive device. If you want a place that provides good recovery, I would recommend going to Triboro. I want to thank the entire team for making me whole again!
Jose Rodriguez
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI was sick and very weak. I was in a lot of pain and not at all motivated to get better. That changed at Triboro Center. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I loved going to therapy! The rehab staff was encouraging and always motivating me to work harder. I would like to specifically thank my Physical Therapist Tsering (Tee), Ms. Cortez, and Pena Carla, my CNA. They made my time there very productive and comfortable. I would highly recommend Triboro Center’s rehab services, especially if you want to get stronger and improve. Thanks to all, I am stronger and more independent!
Keith Worrell
I had part of my right foot amputated and I couldn’t walk. I could barely stand up. Needless to say, I was having a rough time of it, wondering if I’d be dependent on others for the rest of my life. That’s where Triboro Center came in. I was discharged from the hospital to Triboro Center, and the staff there is excellent. The therapy is great, and the activities are really fun. Bottom line: Not only did they make me stronger, they taught me how to walk again. In a month I was back home and back on my feet—thanks to the Triboro Center team!
Lewis
I broke my leg and had a cast. I couldn’t walk at all. I also have issues with my heart, which made my situation even more complicated. It’s a good thing I came to Triboro Center for my rehab. First of all, the entire team was very nice and welcoming. When it came to my rehab, they created a plan specifically designed to address my condition: broken leg and heart condition. It’s really very simple. I came into Triboro Center in a wheelchair...and left on my own two feet, stronger than ever. Enough said!

Former Patient at Triboro CenterI got very sick. I had no strength and no endurance. Even worse, whenever I tried to walk, I was afraid of falling. I felt helpless. That changed as soon as I was admitted to Triboro Center. Everyone there is very professional, caring, and even sweet. The therapists worked with me almost every day. I actually looked forward to it. They made the therapy fun! They motivated me and guided me on my journey to good health. I’m home now and feeling very strong—not afraid anymore. Thanks to the Triboro Center team, I am the best version of myself.
Luisa Batista
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had surgery on my back to remove some spurs and relieve my arthritis. But after the surgery I was in more pain than before. I had no strength and had a fear of falling. Thank God I came to Triboro Center for my rehab. The entire team welcomed me, but a big shout out to the therapy staff. They are awesome. They helped get rid of the pain and gain my independence back— and as a bonus taught me some English! No matter what language you speak, Triboro Center is the place to go for great rehab.
Marcia Cruz
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had a severe stroke. I was in pain and unable to move my hands or legs. I couldn’t even stand on my own. I was frightened. When I came to Triboro Center, the team made me comfortable from the very first day. The accommodations and activities are great. But it’s the team, the people that really make a difference. The therapists did a wonderful job, and the nurses took care of all medical needs. I’m back home now, and my family is so happy. I’d recommend Triboro Center to anybody who needs rehab.
Marcia Philips
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI have a serious problem with my weight. The medical term is morbidly obese. It sounds bad, and it is. My weight has definitely adversely affected my health: I have diabetes, anemia, high blood pressure, the list goes on. It got to the point where I couldn’t even walk. I thought my situation was hopeless, but the moment I arrived at Triboro Center, the staff gave me my hope back. Their enthusiasm was contagious. The rehab team is absolutely wonderful. They treated me so nicely, and I loved working with them. We built a rapport, and they built up my strength. It took some time—ten weeks to be exact—but they got me back on my feet and back home. I can’t thank the Triboro Center team enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Maria Imbert
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had a stroke, which landed me in the hospital. But when the hospital scheduled my discharge, I was in no condition to go home: I couldn’t even walk. They said I should go to a nursing home to rehab. I dreaded it. I had this image of nursing homes: dark and depressing. Triboro Center was neither. The staff is friendly and professional, and the place itself is warm, clean and bright. And the rehab is terrific. I particularly like the Jintronix—a virtual game-like workout that gets you stronger. You took great care of me Triboro Center, and you not only made me better, you changed my whole perspective on rehab. I’m back home and back at work now, but if I ever need rehab again, I’ll happily go to Triboro Center!
Michael Cooper
Former Patient at Triboro CenterMy physical body was deteriorating. I couldn’t breathe without a ventilator and I was unable to walk, even on level surfaces. I was totally dependent on my caregivers – I couldn’t even turn in bed! I had lost all the joy in my life. And then I came to Triboro Center for Rehab and my condition improved 100%! Each staff member made me feel strong by keeping me in the loop. Nursing organized my medication, Therapy helped me regain my strength, and Recreation rekindled my joy. Triboro Center showed me and my family that there are people who care. I feel hope and optimism about my body and I am loving myself again! I would definitely recommend Triboro to my friends and to anyone who needs truly great healthcare!
Miguelina Corcino
Former Patient at Triboro CenterArthritis took my knee. After total knee- replacement surgery, I couldn’t even walk five feet. Moving around was difficult, my coordination was off, and I was at risk of falling. I had lost my independence and dignity. But then I came to Triboro Center and everything changed. The rehab staff were very kind and professional. They motivated me to work hard in my recovery and treated me as a member of the family. The therapy team didn’t just make me physically stronger - they helped me heal mentally as well. After only 3 weeks at Triboro Center, I can now walk with a cane and even climb stairs. My family is very happy I came to this facility. Not only would I recommend Triboro Center to my friends and family, I also rate this facility a 10/10!

Former Patient at Triboro CenterWhen I came to Triboro Center after surgery, I was weak and couldn’t walk. The staff gave me a very warm welcome. The therapy team made me stronger – especially Robin, Matthew, and Aisha. Their constant motivation helped me to walk and even negotiate stairs. Thank you to all who work there and I will strongly recommend this facility to my family and friends.
Rahman Muhammad
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had been laid up in a hospital bed for weeks, and when it was time for me to be discharged it was clear that I couldn’t be on my own. I barely had the strength to lift my head off a pillow, let alone stand up. If I tried, I’d likely lose my balance and fall. A liaison met with me and smoothed my transfer to Triboro Center, and that was my first step back into the community. The entire staff was there for me—making sure I took my meds on time and providing good, nutritional meals. And the physical and occupational therapists were outstanding. I feel healthier and stronger now than I have in a long time. I heartily recommend the Triboro Center team to anyone who is recovering from illness, injury or surgery. They are winners!
Roberta Ovenseri
Former Patient at Triboro CenterAgonizing pressure in my spine forced me to have unavoidable surgery. The surgeons removed part of my vertebra and inserted a spinal-simulator into my lower-back. While the agonizing pressure was gone, I was still in a lot of pain due to the treatment. I couldn’t walk, was perpetually weak, and unable do basic self-care like getting dressed. Then I came to Triboro Center for rehab and my world opened to new possibilities. All the staff was so welcoming and professional — they really knew how to run a facility! My therapy team was top-notch, especially Shivani and Eileen who assisted me with great care and warmth. My 5 weeks at Triboro Center was marked with great rehab and physical therapy. Today, I am stronger and able to walk — I didn’t think this possible. I want to thank the entire rehab team and would strongly recommend this facility to anyone who wants quality care.
Sandra Purcell
Former Patient at Triboro CenterMy life changed when I was diagnosed with diabetes. One of the most difficult changes was the amputation of my right leg below the knee due to complications from the disease. The pain was excruciating, and I was overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. I felt like I had lost a part of myself, and I didn’t know how to move forward. The staff at Triboro Center for Rehab immediately put me at ease. They were patient and understanding, and they worked with me to create a personalized treatment plan. I quickly connected with my physical therapist, Aisha. She was kind and compassionate, and she pushed me to work harder than I thought was possible. It’s been 16 weeks since my amputation, and I’m proud to say that I’m now able to do many of the things I once thought were impossible. If you or someone you love is facing a similar challenge, I highly recommend Triboro Center.

Resident at Triboro Center"I was in terrible condition. I couldn’t speak, I was on a feeding tube, ventilator, and a trach tube. I couldn’t even open my hands. When I came to Triboro Center I was confused and disoriented. I thought my situation was hopeless. But the staff at Triboro Center immediately set out to give me hope. Not only are they true professionals, great at their jobs, they are also wonderful people—so engaging. Everyone—the therapists, nurses, dietitian, housekeeping—checks on me every day. They made me comfortable. I couldn’t eat for two months, but now I can swallow again. My lungs are getting stronger, I can walk again, and, just as important, my mental state is much better. I’m a nurse and my husband is a doctor. I know all about healthcare, and I know that Triboro Center is the best!"

Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had surgery on my spine to relieve my arthritis. But after the operation, I started to think the cure was worse than the disease. I was in serious pain. Triboro Center saved the day—and me! The therapy is excellent. They taught me how to relieve my pain and how to walk again. They gave me my strength and independence back! In just two weeks, I was headed back home. I want to thank every member of the Triboro Center team. Not only is the pain gone, but they gave me a home exercise program to keep me strong.

Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had a critical condition after my knee replacement. I needed help and found it at Triboro Center. The staff were good, my therapy was good. I got treated very well, like I was family. The rehab staff was great, they were very professional. EJ helped me a lot. I was blessed to have him. I would tell family and friends who need rehab to come to Triboro Center because the rehabilitation is great. My condition improved very much. Now I can walk and be more independent. I am rejuvenated! Thank you to everyone at Triboro Center, especially my therapist EJ.
Sybil Wilkins
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI’m a diabetic, and over time it has taken a toll on my health. The worst was the wounds on my foot. It was extremely difficult to get around: very painful. The team at Triboro Center put a plan in place for me. It started with pain management and was followed by a comprehensive rehab program. They were accommodating to my needs every step of the way. A shout-out to the physical therapists. They were amazing! If you need rehab and want to work with true professionals, go to Triboro Center.
Terry Webb
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had a bad infection in my foot—so bad I couldn’t put any weight on it. I even developed a fever and chills. I was discharged from Bronx Lebanon Hospital and it was my good fortune to be admitted to Triboro Center for my recovery and rehab. The entire staff at Triboro Center is very welcoming, and the rehab team is exceptionally good. Not only that, but the activities are awesome. I came to Triboro Center in a wheelchair, and left on my own two feet. The outstanding results speak for themselves. If you need rehab, go to Triboro Center. They’ll make you stronger!
Tommie Casper Jr.
Former Patient at Triboro CenterAfter my stroke, I wasn’t the same person I used to be. My diet had to be controlled, I had a debilitating weakness on my right side, and I was experiencing seizure-like symptoms. And if that wasn’t bad enough, I couldn’t climb stairs or even walk! Then I spent 6 weeks at Triboro Center for rehab and my condition improved dramatically. The rehab staff, particularly Shivani, was very warm and pleasant. Today, I feel stronger and more confident. I am very thankful to Triboro Center for getting me on my feet again. I would fully recommend this amazing rehab center to my family and friends.
Tommy Pena
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had a toe amputated and couldn’t walk. I was very weak throughout my body—every muscle seemed to be affected by the loss of that one toe. The team at Triboro Center was great. They treated me really well. The rehab team literally taught me how to walk again. It took two months of hard work, but the important thing is, I’m home and back on my own two feet. Thanks to everyone at Triboro Center!
Utate Gabino
Former Patient at Triboro CenterMy health has been an area of great concern over the last few years. I have colon cancer and high blood pressure, and early this year I experienced respiratory failure. My strength, balance and endurance were all impaired. I could hardly move. But the one move I did make—going to Triboro Center—was the key to my recovery. The therapists are excellent. They designed a program of exercises for me that showed immediate results. And I have to add that not only are they great therapists, they are wonderful people! I am back home now with my family and I can function independently. But even though I’ve left Triboro Center, in a way the team is still with me. They created a home exercise plan, and it continues to help me get strong and stay strong!
Valez Maldonado
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had knee replacement surgery on my left knee. When I left the hospital, I was very unsteady—weak, and afraid of falling. I needed help before I could go home. I was fortunate to be admitted to Triboro Center. The staff was welcoming and kind. My first language is Spanish, and many of them spoke it as well. They showed me a lot of concern and made me feel at ease. Everyone treated me with respect and kindness. It has been a very positive experience. I will share my successful rehab at Triboro Center with everyone and recommend the facility to friends and family members.
Wayne Moore
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI had a pulmonary embolism, and on top of my other health issues, it threw me off. I was very unsteady, afraid to even try to walk with a cane. Coming to Triboro Center made a huge difference. The staff made me feel very welcome. The therapy was terrific. The activities were really fun—I even won a few games! And I loved the computer room. Most important, my condition improved greatly. I can walk on my own again. The Triboro Center team gave me my confidence and independence back.
Wesley Griffiths
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI was not comfortable and didn’t have the confidence to walk independently. I had difficulty climbing up stairs. The staff at Triboro Center was very welcoming, they made me feel at home and very comfortable. All the therapists are great! My Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapists played a large part in my recovery. Shivani and Liz along with Tom helped me get stronger and better. My family was affected very positively by my stay. They were confident that I was getting the best care. I can now walk independently. Kiran and his team are doing an amazing job at Triboro Center. Thank you so much to everyone!
Willie Tipton
Former Patient at Triboro CenterI thought I couldn’t be helped. As an amputee with HIV, hypertension and Type 2 diabetes, the idea of being independent seemed like a long-lost dream. What’s worse was the unbearable pain and the inability to do my activities. Then, I was welcomed into Triboro Center for Rehab. I knew the staff cared because even they were happy I was getting therapy! The rehab was so good, there really isn’t anything that can compare. At Triboro Center, I became stronger and now, I feel less pain. I want to thank the entire therapy team, but I want to especially thank Robin and Eileen who were particularly nice to me. Actually, I want to thank the entire Triboro Center team!
