Each October marks the start of National Physical Therapy Month, a multi-week celebration of physical therapy health benefits. Over the course of National PT Month, we recognize the value of the physical therapists, therapist assistants, and incoming PT students who make it possible.
Bio: When she was a child, her parents would always remind her, “We should always take care of our elders, because without them, where would we be?” That stuck with her growing up and became a big factor in choosing her career. She wanted to be in a field that allowed her to improve the quality of life of others by improving movement, managing pain, and helping them recover from injuries and other physical conditions.
Noteworthy: Every day when she encounters residents, regardless if they are in therapy or not, she always greets them and asks how they are doing. She builds that relationship and encourages them to participate in therapy, and motivates them to follow through.
